Assam Scheme: ABOCWWB Cash Award Scheme

Cash Award Scheme is an initiative started by Assam Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board under the Labour Welfare Department of Government of Assam. The scheme aims to provide cash awards to the children of registered building workers based on their performance in HSLC, AHM and H.S. examinations.

What is the ABOCWWB Cash Award Scheme?

The Cash Award ( ABOCWWB ) Scheme is an education scheme designed to provide assistance to the children of workers engaged in building and other construction works.  Under this scheme, the Government of Assam distributes cash awards to students based on their academic performance.

Assam Cash Award Scheme: Eligibility Criteria

The educational qualifications you need for the ABOCWWB Cash Award Scheme are given below.

• The applicant student should be a permanent resident of the State of Assam

• The applicant’s parents must be employed in any building and other construction work.

• The applicant’s parents should be registered with the Assam Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

• The applicant’s parents should have an active membership with the Board.

• Students must score a minimum of 55% or above in HSLC, AHM, and HS examinations to avail the benefits of the scheme.

Assam Scheme: Benefits of Cash Award

1. Cash awards will be given to children of beneficiaries who have secured 75% or above, 65% or below 75% and 55% or below 65% marks in HSLC, AHM & HS examinations amounting to ₹5,000/-, ₹4,000/- and ₹3,500/- respectively.

2. The scheme benefits three male and three female children of registered construction workers in each district, with a total of six beneficiaries in each district.

Documents Required for ABOCWWB Cash Award

• Assam Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board ID Card.
• Applicant passport size photograph.
• Signature of the Applicant Student.
• Attested copy of pass certificate from Head of Institute.
• Attested Copy of the ID Card of the parents.
• Attested copy of the marksheet of the exam.
• Copy of Payslip of Account Paybook.
• Caste Certificate (Other than General category).
• Any other relevant documents.

Apply Process: Cash Award (A.B.O.C.W.W.B) in Assam 

• Go to the official website of https://abocwwb.assam.gov.in.
• Now, On the home page, click “Login Now” and enter your mobile number or User ID.

• Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number to log in.
• After that, Your personal dashboard will open. Here, you can update details, check fees due, and see eligible benefits.
• Click “Benefit,” choose the  applicable scheme (Cash Award Benefit) scheme, and fill out the online application form.
• Complete the form with all the required details and upload necessary documents.
• At the end, Submit the form and You’ll receive a tracking/reference number.
• Keep that number for future reference.

What Do you Next

1. Your application will appear in the officers console for review And officer’s will assign a subordinate to verify your application.
2. After that, Preliminary verification and your application goes to a scrutiny committee for detailed checks.
3. The scrutiny committee’s decision is uploaded and forwarded to the Head Office.
4. The Head Office assigns the application to the appropriate assistant for processing through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
5. The Public Financial Management System (PFMS) auto-verifies your account details.
6. If  PFMS verification is successful then take a printout of it.
7. At the end,The approving authority then disburses the benefit through PFMS.
