Assam Students Education Scheme: Abhinandan Loan Subsidy

Assam Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme was launched on 26 December 2019 by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in the presence of Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Education Minister Siddharth Bhattacharya, several senior officials of the state finance department and bank officials. The scheme is managed by the Finance Department, Govt. of Assam. 

What is Assam Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme?

Assam Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme is a program by the Government of Assam to help students pay off their education loans. If a student has already repaid 25% of his loan, he can get ₹50,000 as a one-time grant from the government.The scheme is managed by the Finance Department, Govt. of Assam. 

The scheme will provide assistance to the families of students who have taken out education loans of more than Rs 1 lakh.

Assam Scheme  Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy : Eligibility Criteria

The educational qualifications you need for  Assam Abhinandan Education Loan Subsidy Scheme are given below.

1. The applicant should be a permanent resident of Assam.

2. The Education Loan should have been availed from any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank within the state recognized by the Reserve Bank of India.

3. The education loan should be a minimum of ₹ 1,00,000.
